I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis, had my second dose of antibiotics this morning. Yesterday & today I've had pretty bad cramping - and I was putting it down to having a UTI, but seeing as I don't have one of those now, I am wondering if bacterial vaginosis can cause cramping?????

I'm just about to ring my m/w to get her to ring the hospital to get my urine sample results from y/day (they wouldn't give them to me), so will ask her too, but I wanted to post here as well.......

thank you!!! I'm hoping that is what my cramps are from. They aren't awful, but they're definately noticable, kwim?

I also read online (so I'm not sure how accurate it is), that one of the side effects of the antibiotics they give for it, is cramping... if that's the case, that could be why my cramping is worse today, after having my first couple of doses of antibio's...

I know a UTI can cause bladder pain that feels like cramping, and it also can cause the uterine muscles to contract, i.e. cramp.
