what does everyone have planned for V-day weekend? is your SO the sensitive romantic kind (I hear they actually exist) or is it not a big deal to both of you and just a regular weekend?

DH works Saturday day and has a big paper due Tuesday so he'll be working on that and I have to work Sunday from 2-10 pm so we wont be doing anything.

Our wedding anniversary is the 16th, so we tend to celebrate that (3 years this year!) more then Valentine's Day. I am going to the spa/salon on the 14th for a facial, massage, and hair cut though. We're going on a mini-vacation from the 15th thru the 17th to Monterey/Carmel as well.

Sunday is the ONLY day of the week that either DH or me isn't working or going to school....so we usually go to church and just have a family day I told him I just wanted to order take out from a local Italian restaurant and stay in and just spend the night together as a family.

I am not sure what we are doing. I know we are going for a "date night" they are planning saturday at church. dinner, dancing, and a movie. they are providing the childcare too. Valentines day is a fun day for us, because we got engaged on Valentines day ( which is a halarious and not so romantic story) so it's a day we remember easily lol. it's been 7 years since we got engaged on sunday, last month was 9 years since we started dating.. it feels like a LONG time for only being 25 lol

well we are going ice fishing for the weekend, I haven't been all year and this is probably the only time I get to go. I had posted a vent/rant earlier since I wanted to stay in a hotel and swim swim swim at night, but DH didn't call and now they are booked so we are staying at the cabin and I can't swim. it's okay though sometime before baby comes we are going to just rent a room where we live and call it a mini vacation, i'll tell DH about that later.

I plan on catching lots of walleye and eating it too. taking naps, reading my book and watching movies. I think we are going to dinner one night to celebrate DH's new job otherwise it's just fishing, eating, relaxing and gambling (casino is just down the road)

nothing special since this is what we would do anyway. but it'll be nice since no one else is allowed and usually his dad or cousin or uncle or someone always comes along.

oh and on V-day we are meeting his dad and new girlfriend errr friend err don't know what to call her yet. NOT what I wanted to do but whatever it's only dinner and will be over in an hour or so.

We will both be off work, but it is always so busy everywhere in town that I doubt we will go out to dinner. We will probably plan a v-day date at a later time, maybe the weekend after. DH asked me tonight what I wanted to do. I did get him a gift though, and my DD too.

no plans really, DH doesn't really celebrate any holidays especially what he considers "hallmark" holidays like valentines day. I got DD some cute little gifts and she and I decorated the house, I think we finally get to go pick up the finished cushions for the baby's glider so I'm excited about that.

How funny, I just posted on my blog about this exact topic!
We ususally put our kids to bed early and either cook a special meal at home or order take-out. We make it really romantic. I love Valentine's Day!

We're going out of town for the weekend. My dad gave us a gift certificate to a pretty nice hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC (because Myrtle Beach is soooo romantic ). We won't be doing much while we're there since it's really cold still. It will be a nice getaway from Lily and daily life. DH is usually somewhat romantic. He proposed on Valentine's Day 6 years ago on what was supposed to be a surprise trip to Hawaii. He'll never top that day, but I don't have high expectations for Valentines normally.

I'm pretty sure we have no plans. DH doesn't normally watch Nascar, but he does watch Daytona. Sooo... yippee skippy we'll be watching that on Sunday. We don't normally do anything special, so I'm not expecting anything. On years when he works the night before he sometimes will stop and pick flowers and chocolates up on the way home I actually do love that!

I'm not sure if we are going to do anything or not DH has to work for a little bit and he didn't seem to into it when I mentioned presents today haha but who knows he has been known to surprise me a time or two but I really would be fine with just ordering chinese food and staying at home

haha my DH calls them "hallmark" holidays too! I don't want anything special...I would rather get flowers at random than on a day that everyone suspects them......I just use the day as an excuse to not cook! LOL

Hehehe, since we're the ever-so-romantic couple, we're going to see The Wolfman! It's my idea, so no one go making fun of my non-romantic husband.

I'm also getting DH a new trifold wallet, since the one he has is literally tearing at the seams. He'll probably get me chocolate, because I might have hinted that I can't get enough chocolate.

We're painting the nursery. My aunt and cousin were shot and killed on V Day last year so that's really all the celebrating I feel like

We're going on a picnic just the two of us (well and Meghan lol) on Saturday as long as the weather is ok. I told him to come up with a backup plan in case it's raining though.

we aren't planning anything. i told hubby this morning that maybe he could take me to the Huddle House Sunday morning to eat, and he could pay. (i wouldn't really want to go anywhere, but the Huddle House is right at the beginning of our subdivision, so i don't really have to drive). just for him to pay is good enough for me b/c right now i'm the main breadwinner in the house and i have to pay for just about everything. (his job is terribly slow and he's on straight commission) as long as i get breakfast without cooking, i'm good!

We have the stepkids all weekend so our holiday will probably have a lot of Scooby Doo, chaotic running around and PB&J's.

I'm going to surprise the kiddos with Valentines baskets with candies and cards and maybe a stuffed animal in them, and we will probably make heart shaped sugar cookies.

Hopefully DH and I can have a nice dinner after we put them to bed one night.
