I've had issues with what I guess is sciatic nerve pain for the past 6yrs off and on since my 1st pregnancy, many many nights I would take advil to sleep... obviously I haven't been able to do that since getting pregnant. It's so bad right now, the past 24 hours have been agony... barely slept last night, been in pain all day, heating pads, bengay, tylenol... nothing is helping. Just need to vent and cry and whine I guess, it hurts... and whatever she's doing in my belly, this nonstop rolling and pushing and rolling some more, ugh it hurts too. Going to be a very long remaining 7wks.

I had pretty bad pain last night in my belly from my baby girl rolling too, I came to the conclusion today that she drastically changed positions, I think she's breach now (due to the activity on my bladder).. Maybe you can talk to your doctor about prescribing something a bit stronger? There ARE meds out there that are considered safe if you really need them. hope you feel better.

I'm sorry you are in so much pain!!! I agree, can you call your Dr and see if they can Rx a stronger medication?

I don't think she's gone head down once yet, I still get a ton of those painful cervix kicks along with the nonstop rolling, my little acrobat. I might have to request something stronger, I hate taking extra drugs when pregnant but my goodness I just need a break from the leg pain. I haven't been able to look into a massage or chiro since my DH has been gone traveling for work and I have my DD with me nonstop.

you should get DH to give you a gift cert for valentines day for a massage or acupuncture or something.. I hear acupuncture really helps nerve pain... I know you said he's traveling, but find a sitter just for one day, it might be worth it! I was given darvocet to take because of my kidneystones, and I only ever took it twice, I'm saving the rest for if I have a big flare up.. Sometimes you just need the meds.

I've been dealing with the same thing for years now. After seeing numerous specialists and having several MRI's they determined that my one of my nerves are pinched. It hurts like He!! at times and I swear when it's hurting NOTHING will make it better. I was scheduled for an epidural steroid injection but I found out I was pregnant before I was able to get it done. I know how you feel! I wish I could say I found something that would help you but I've tried everything with no luck.

Have you tried the piriformis stretches? I have the same issue, and if I do the stretches it hurts like nothing else but then the pain subsides in a few hours.

I'm sorry you're going through that! I've been having the restless legs and my knees hurt enough to wake me up when I'm sleeping. But nothing as severe as what you're going through.

I agree that you should tell the doctor how bad it is. If nothing else maybe she can send you for some PT that might relief some of the discomfort?

Yuck! What you are dealing with does not sound like fun! I have some sciatic nerve issues in my back/leg too but nothing like what you are describing. Luckily mine seems to come and go instead of camping out for an extended time. I hope you are able to find something to make you feel better!
