Yesterday I got most of the baby shopping done. I don't need much but there are things I want.

I updated my cloth diaper stash. Cloth is my addiction, Chris says its my religion. I have 9 drawers stuffed with cloth diapers, lol.

I bought three baby carriers - another obsession of mine. I bought a new moby, a new Babyhawk, and an Ergo.

I also go two miracle blankets and two woombies to try, my pills for the placenta encapsulation, RLR to wash my cloth down before Charlie comes, and all I need to buy now is the steamer to cook the placenta!

Wow, you got the awesome carriers. I would imagine how much of an obsession I'd have if I cloth diapered too. I almost wanna try it just because the're so cute!! I also think its amazing that your doing the placenta encapsulation! WTG mommy! I'd like to see that diaper stash!! Just by you mentioning shopping I wanna go do some more. We're going out for Valentines day so maybe we'll stop by a couple of stores.

You have HOW MANY drawers of diapers!?! Wow!! That is quite the stash. I think I want a babyhawk, but I adore my wrap, we'll see I did find an Ergo for $50 at a consignment store last week, I might have to go see if they still have it! Nice haul!!

Beth...You can just get a cheap pan, and put water in it and "steam" it on low/medium. You don't have to get the steamer if you don't want to!

Oh I forgot to comment on the diapers. You suck. I still need to get more than just my newborn CDs

WE were planning on buying a steamer anyway, so we figured this just gave us our excuse.

Yes, I have 9 drawers lol. I'm insanely organized and they are currently labeled

-Premie prefolds/diapers
-Preemie covers
-Misc (for all the stuff I have no where else to put - like wool wash, liners, doublers, tie on nappies, ect...)
-Small prefolds/diapers
-Small covers
-wipes
-Medium prefolds
-Medium diapers
-Medium covers/One Size

I just ordered a dozen more preemie prefolds, three newborn covers, 2 xs thirsties fab fitteds, 2 small thirsties fab fitteds, 6 bumgenius 3.0 OS, 5 small cubbies covers, 5 small medium cubbies covers, and 5 medium cubbies.

I also have a box of cloth that needs minor repairs - replacing velcro, elastic, ect....

Cloth diapering can be cheaper, but it's an obsession, lol

I have about 20 pieces of wool I'm getting ready to sell just to buy more diapers. I need help. Once all my diapers get here I'll take pictures.

Sounds like a serious shopping spear.

I love my Moby but I am thinking of getting the babyhawk also.

Love that you are encapsulating your placenta. I want to so badly but my stupid hospital won't release it to me. They say its a bioharzard or something stupid like that. I have to take meds for post partum depression for a couple months after each birth and I had thought that maybe I could've tried encapulating the placenta and taking that instead, after I'd read some articles in Mothering about women who had success with post partum issues that way. But apparently the hospital thinks that if I take my placenta home I might somehow rub it on all other patients as I'm leaving the maternity ward, thus causing an infectious placental kootie pandemic to spread across the state. Seriously? I know I keep saying it...I hate my hospital.

You can take your placenta home. Legally they aren't allowed to "dispose" of it in the hospital without your signature. If you plan on still trying it, just take a little cooler to make sure it doesn't get warm (yuck) because it needs to be cool until you wash and steam it..
