My husband went out and bought baby Purex, but I told him All free and clear works just as well and is usually cheaper. The baby stuff smells so good though

I have to use All Free and Clear, dreft and the others have fragrances in them and they make MY skin freak out, so I never used them on DDs and won't on this one either.

I was just wondering which detergents to buy, so I'm glad this thread was started! My mom suggested Dreft, but it's good to know that there are other options just in case I don't like the way that one smells or not.

I've used Dreft before and still do on DD's blanket and favorite stuffed animal when they get dirty. I don't really know why, except I love the smell.

I went to BRU and the All Baby was the same price at Dreft! Target has a few diff baby brands, but they don't smell good!

I bought some dreft (had All Baby with Kinley...but I lived in San Diego and could find it...now I have to drive an hour to get it!) and washed her clothes already-they smell so good!

I didn't know there was a Purex baby, all I've seen is the Dreft. It's pretty perfumy so I dont know. I might check out Target next time I'm there.

I think there is Oxyclean Baby as well, from what I've heard.

I just bought some Dreft from Sam's Club today! Got a super big one and I cannot wait to wash his clothes. I so love the smell.

Hi, I'm lurking from May, but I was wondering about this in the grocery store today - what is the disadvantage with regular detergent? My mom just used regular with her kids.

I read that its better for the babies skin.. and it doesn't take the flame retardant off the baby clothing

Hey you! Regular detergent (and even some baby detergents) can really aggravate their skin. And some people like the way it smells. I use the All Free and Clear, it is hypoallergenic

I use an all natural detergent and use it for the whole family. I get it in bulk from amazon at a discount.
