I have several shorter-term goals (no time-frame, really...these are just stepping stones to get me where I want to be):

* Lose 10% of my current body weight (about 16lbs)
* Fit in my pre-preg pants
* Get to a BMI within the healthy range (lose about 28lbs -- this would also be losing all the rest of my baby weight)
* Lose 1-2 lbs per week until I reach my goals

And long term:
* Finish losing the weight that I was planning to lose before getting pregnant (another 10-15 lbs). I'd like to lose a total of about 40 more lbs. I would LOVE to be there by the end of the year...but I won't beat myself up if I'm not.

1) lose the remaining 6 lbs to reach pre-preg weight
2) lose 4 lbs more to reach my "normal low" weight (we all have our high and low, this will be my low)

I don't expect to lose any more than that because it's been years my weight has been in that range and we have to be realistic about it!!
I'm already on the normal BMI index so...

My short term goals are:

* Lose 10lbs to get to my pre-pregnancy weight
* Fit into my pre-preggo jeans (which may mean losing more than that 10lbs because my body has changed )
* STOP eating fast food

My long term goals are:

* Lose a total of 70 (yes 7-0) lbs to get to where I would ideally love to be weight wise
* Develop some sort of exercise routine, even if it's only walking 3x a week. I need to do something but want to be realistic since I don't like to sweat

That's about it.

Okay so I am already at my pre pregnancy weight, but that was 20 lbs over what I should be. My long term goal is to lose that 20 lbs. I don't expect it to come off all at once, but I've really got to get my stuff together and quit eating so poorly.

My short term goals:
-lose 5 lbs by this time next month (March 22)
-Don't eat out so much, and when I do eat out on occasion, make healthy choices
-go the gym and lift weights atleast twice a week (aim for three times)
-run on the treadmill 3 days a week (for a minimum of 30 minutes)
-compete in a 5k race and run the whole thing

My long term goals:
-lose 20 lbs (if that goal is met, I can set a goal to lose 10 more lbs, but I'd be happy with just the 20 lbs)
-fit into my old skinny jeans
-run a 10k race

Well right now I am 5'3 and 170lbs
Before Morgan I was 160lbs
Before Blair I was 115lbs

My long term goals are
* Lose 30-35lbs
* Develop a better and healthier life style for myself and family
* Exercise with my children daily

Short term
* Stop eating fast food
* Eat less. My choices of food arent totally bad but my portions suck. I need to stop eating until I feel sick and learn to stop when I am full
* Drink more water and less sugary drinks and coke
* Start going for walks daily
* Start working out in the morning
* Do more exercise activities with my kids. Blair and I use to have dance parties for an hour a day and Id burn so many calories or we would go run and play outside.
* Fit back into pre morgan pregnancy clothes

My goals:
Eat natural foods of varying colours daily
Minimum of 5 fruit or veggie servings daily
Drink min 3 liters or ~100oz water daily
Rum at least 5km/3mi 3 times a week
Get to pre-preg weight of 194lbs

My ultimate goal is to get back to my lean weight of 160 lbs. That puts me at a size 10 - I'm a bulky girl

I have 45 lbs to lose.

I'm also thinking of running a 10km race in April and a 16km trail race that gains 4100 feet in elevation in July. A pretty lofty goal but not out of the question.

hmm perhaps part of my weight loss issue is I don't know what I want my goal to be..besides being skinny!

So short term:

1)Drink enough water every day.
2) Cut out junk
3)Limit eating out to once a week...if that
4) Eat more fresh fruit and veggies
5)Lose 20lb by our trip to Disney at the end of April.
6)Exercise...ideally by walking because my whole family will do this, but the weather sucks right now.

Long term:
To be in Onederland
When I get there I'll readjust my goal.

Hmmm... I could make that a goal, but then forget about losing weight, I'd be too drunk to notice!

Short Term:

limit portion sizes
limit sweets/fats/salts
keep very increased water intake
exercise 45 mins at least 5 days a wk on my new elliptical
drop from 162lbs to 145lbs
NOT HURT BREASTFEEDING

Long Term:

change to mostly organic/natural foods
maintain water intake
continue exercise, increase stamina
drop to 120lbs (my pre-preg weight)
CONTINUE BREASTFEEDING

Not harming breastfeeding with my weightloss is very important to me. If you remember, I tried some pretty strict dieting a few weeks ago. Well, I dropped 8lbs, but I almost lost my milk supply so I had to add back calories. That will definitely be something I watch.

I wouldnt mind Rum 3 times a week. Especially once teething kicks in! Rum might make the screaming a little bit more bearable! haha

with DS1 I found any time I lost 3 or more lbs in a week my milk supply took a big hit. If it's not falling off with a healthy diet, I'd aim for no more than 1 lb/wk average with a couple of 2 lb weeks thrown in.

I have been avoiding this subforum. This friday I'll be 6 weeks PP and out of excuses. I am pleased that I've lost all but 4 pounds of my pregnancy weight and have been fitting back into my pre-preg jeans since 2 weeks out. But I am flabby and still overweight and needed to lose a good bit before getting pregnant.

When I commit to things I get a little crazy 'on board' with it and I'm not ready for that. I plan to go back to doing weight watchers b/c that works for me. But like Sally I don't want to mess with my supply so I'm going to be really careful. In the mean time I'm just going to focus on eating less fast food b/c that's pretty much all I've been eating since giving birth. I just went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of lean cusines, smart ones, etc. I know its high in sodium but its a lot better than McDonald's, etc.

For now my short term goal is to lose the last 4 pounds, eat less fast food, and go on a walk at least twice a week.

my long term goal will be around 35 pounds or so.

I know...I was discussing this yesterday with my grandmother and aunt and they both had the same problem Oh, well, baby comes first Guess it gives me an excuse to eat more Good thing I actually like to exercise!
