they came out to find the pipe leak that the plumber said was under the foundation. well it is NOT under the foundation - it is in the pipe that goes to the tub. It only took them like 10 min to figure out where it was coming from. The dumb plumber was here an hour yesterday, cut 3 holes in out closet wall and one in the foundation ouside, plus tore up the carpet and the padding in our closet and tore off all the trim looking for the leak. two weeks earlier he was here and supposedly sealed that pipe that goes to the tub - umm I think the landlord needs to get a different plumber - cause this cost them more than it needed to when all the plumber had to do to get to the pipe was remove the access panel that is in the closet wall, and according to the people that were here today replace the seal that is on the pipe. Of course the people that were here today their only job is to detect the leak so the plumber knows where to go digging - if it really is in the foundation. So now a plumber has to come back out and fix the pipe and then someone else will need to come out fix the walls, trim, foundation and put down new carpet and padding.

Update: Ok so the land lord had the same plumber come back out - where me, DH, and both leak detectives saw the leak coming from was up by the overflow on the side - the pipe is actually in the wall. I just heard the plumber making a ton of noise so I went in there and he is using a jackhammer and breaking up the concrete foundation in the closet?? *** - if anything he should have only had to cut a bigger hole further up in the wall from the access panel. I dont think this guy has a clue as to what he is even looking for or supposed to be fixing - glad it is not me paying for it cause i would have fired him by now.

I'm glad they found the leak but I am sorry that the idiot plumber ripped out a bunch of stuff!
