I just uploaded these to post in a thread on the heated debates (about the cost of weddings, lol) and thought since I had the URLs handy, it would be fun to do a thread in here showing off our wedding bouquets.

These are mine - I made them (yes, they're fake, lol... I swear you couldn't tell in real life.) I knew exactly what I wanted and was told fresh was going to cost me $300 JUST for my own bouquet. So I said no way and went about making my own. And this way I get to keep it forever, lol!

GORGEOUS!!!!!! I love roses. It was the theme for my wedding, but my bouquet looks totally fake and I am not posting it, lol.

Those are fake? No way! They are wonderful!
I also had red roses at my wedding. My boquet was 100. And it looked horrible when DH picked it up. I turned into a puddle of tears and my mom had to remake the whole thing in 15 minutes!

My flowers were the most expensive thing at my wedding. (The "theme" so to speak, was spring flowers.) My mom paid for them, and they were gorgeous and worth every penny.

I worked for a florist when I got married and their gift to me was to pay for my flowers. I think this bouquet may actually be my maid of honour's bouquet, as hers had more oncidium orchids than mine to go with the brown in her dress.

Beautiful bouquets! I LOVE making floral arrangement and I made the ones that we practiced with the night before the wedding.
My grandmother made mine.. My theme was Sunflowers & Roses.

My bouquet has little "mini" roses and Sunflowers and lace some other stuff on it. I don't hav a really good picture of just my bouquet, but this is the one I found...I had to crop me out of it!
However, DH and I are renewing our Vows in 2012 for our 10 yr ann. so I'll make sure to get a close up, of that one!! lol

I'll have to find a picture. Mine were a deep red. I didn't want flowers....I think they are a waste of money. My mom threw a fit about it and to help my dad out...my mom was complaining to my dad about it non-stop....I went and ordered a few. My bouquet was $125, it was a medium sized one and the florist designed it.

Then someone took the bouquet prior to the wedding thinking it was a decoration cause it was sitting in a vase and so I forgot about it cause it wasn't right in front of me....and I ended up not having the bouquet for the ceremony. No one even noticed though.

I'll have to dig up a pic when I get home. I pretty much just told the florist "Just have some red in there" and let her go at it. LOL! Yeah, I didn't care all that much. I bought some sprays of red Swarovski crystals to have her put into the bouquet and I was pretty happy with how it turned out!

Ipsa, I LOVE the colors in your bouquets! They went so well with the bridesmaids dresses and look so cheery!

If i cna find pics I will post them. I loved to boquet from my first wedding - it was calla lillies and Ivy - was not cheap though since we got married in Dec and had to have the flowers shipped in - cost my dad about $600.

From my second wedding I used rosed and calla lillies - I used fake also, but like your you can tell and that one cost about $30.

I thought I'd show you the full photo of me and DH, not just the bouquet, since I've not posted a pic of us before. I loved my flowers. We only planned our wedding a week or so in advance. So by the time I took care of the big stuff, I only went to the florist 2 days before the wedding. I took a picture from the internet of a couple of bouquets that I liked. I told her that I didn't care what kind of flower she used, as long as the colors looked like the picture and it was nice and vivid...not much white. I got a bouquet for me and one for DD, also 2 boutonnieres for DH and his son, plus 2 corsages for my 2 girlfriends (our only guests)...all for just over $100!! They were so pretty I nearly cried. I almost didn't do flowers at all since it was so little time.
