We swaddled my DD with blankets during her first few months, but I never got the hang of it and I was always paranoid that the blankets would unravel and suffocate her. So when I heard about these last year, I got very excited.
I don't know anyone personally that has used them, but I've read reviews and when I found them in one of the local baby shops, the lady said they had just started carrying them and they were flying off the shelves. I can't wait to use them!
I really want to try one!!! But I invested more than $100 in Miracle Blanket swaddlers (which I did LOVE) for DS. We swaddled till nearly four months - for the first month or two in large receiving blankets (this time I'll use the muslin ones I just ordered since it'll be the heat of summer) and then when he could push out of the receiving blankets we swapped to the miracle blanket. Worth every penny... but yes, I would worry about the extra fabric.
Those Woombies look like a great "update" on traditional swaddler blankets - no extra layers or loose fabric!!
