well since we had our anatomy scan we want to double check and make sure she is still a girl.

our insurance covered the first ultrasound but this next one we would like to pay for it.

do you know how much it would cost without insurance?

do you think they would do a gender confirmation ultrasound for us since my dr. is not going to budge for another ultrasound at all.

thanks

I am not sure how much a gender scan would cost, but one idea may be to call the University of Nebraska - Omaha Medical Center and see if one of their students needs someone to do an ultrasound on. They may give you a little break in the cost. (I know Southeast Community College in Lincoln does something like this in their dental department) Here is the page with all the contact numbers: Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (Just an idea)

I would definitely go for an elective one, a 2d scan at an electiveplace here is $80. 3/4d is around$120. Don't pay the doctor, they'll over charge.

I did my elective scan at a 3D place for $89. It was a gender scan only. Better packages cost more, but I did come home with 9 pictures (on that cheaper paper).

probably depends on the state you're in, &/or the individual u/s place you go to. Over here as long as your'e a citizen, you only have to pay a small fee
