I woke up at 5am because of the pain. It starts in my neck (I can't put my chin down, or hardly move my head from side to side), radiates through my shoulders and down my spine. It's my ENTIRE back. I had a super hot shower (no bath, hate them and probably couldn't get out afterward anyway), massaged where I could reach, stretched extensively, took a Tylenol, used a heating pad. Nothing is helping! Any ideas would be welcome!! I'm just going to go now!

I wonder if you pinched a nerve? All you can really do is the heating pad since you have tried everything else. I am reallllly sorry!! {{{HUGS}}} MAYBE try to soak in epsom salt bath?

Do you have a chiropractor? I would go see one. I don't think I could handle pain that excruciating. & its still early so you could probably get in today.

I may have to suck it up and try a bath when I get home. I don't want to try it without my husband at home, though, because I am afraid I will get stuck, lol. Funny, but true... I should have brought the heating pad to work.

I used to see a chiro, I don't want to go back to him, though. Maybe I'll try calling somewhere.

a chiro may be your best option. Otherwise what about some rubbing some icy hot on your back where it hurts? I've been waking up with my lower back feeling like it's going to break in 1/2 but nothing like that. I hope you're feeling better soon!

Hmm that might help, never thought of that. I'd rather avoid the chiro if I can, because it's not covered under my benefits anymore. Obviously if nothing else works I'll have to just do it. But I will look into Icy Hot for sure.

if none of the usual home remedies are working for you, I'd try a chiro as well.... nothing worse than back pain
