Ha!!! I have found the heartrate wives tale to be unpredictable. DD was typically a little low (140's) and from that, she should have been a boy Now, you have a 50/50 shot What does your instinct tell you?

OH! I am a day behind you at the gender scan. Today, little gummibear's HB was 145. Last appt it was 166. I think they slow down as they get older in utero.

If it's 160 and up it's a girl. My kid changes sex quite a bit, too =)

And my big u/s is also April 28!!!

LOL On this other site I frequent This girl did it as a test, she had a at home doppler and every day or two she would go to that site, her baby's gender was changing ALL the time. It's been pretty much proven the HR makes no difference on the gender, although a study conducted concluded that for some reason during labor and delivery a baby girls heart rate goes slightly higher then a boys. Either way we know you are having a boy...... OR a girl!

My first pregnacy I was SO sure I was getting aboy I told the father he could name it if it was a girl. Whoops.

The second one I was thinking it was a boy too. Another whoops.

This one I think is a girl so since I am two wrong for two I am thinking I am probably wrong again.

In my family the rule of thumb is that girls are more active in the womb and develope physically faster after they are born. Meaning the girls walk between 9 and 10 month and the boys walk after their first birthday. My grandson is 8 months and not even crawling yet.

I'm sorry, I have the brain of an 11 year old boy, and your topic title had me giggling, heehee. Like BAM said...either way, you know your having a boy, or a girl And either way, it's great news that baby has a nice strong heartbeat!
