Yesterday, I was admitted to hospital following another heavy bleed... TMI, down my legs/flooding..
After a few hours, the bleeding was quite minimal (like a normal AF) so when the Dr asked if I wanted my cervix checking, I declined. They kept me in anyway because my pulse was over 120.. after having fluids it came down to 116, but it was still a concern so they sent some blood off to test my thyroid activity.
ANYWAY.. I'm home now, pulse was at 101 and bloods came back normal
They scanned me with a lil portable machine, most nervewracking few mins EVER, she kind of said "...oh" and I was going "Oh please don't say it.. please no" and she said "LOOK! Just look! The little heart beating away" PHEW.... she apologised for scaring me lol. The leg measured at 14w6d and the head at 15w6d she said it wasn't totally accurate and not to stress.
Ok, I have a more detailed scan tomorrow. I'll be 15w2d.. do you think it's even worth asking the gender yet? Otherwise, it's 21 weeks...

I'm sorry about your bleeding ... I'm going through some bleeding issues as well right now so I know exactly how you are feeling!!

I'd totally ask at your next scan if they can tell you what it is .... they are looking so why not take a peek!!

First of all, glad that everything is okay with the baby. I'm sure you'll get a more accurate measurement of the baby at your next scan.

If you want to know the gender, it couldn't hurt asking about it. Maybe the doctor will get a clear view of everything. If they can't, it's just another month before your official gender scan. It's worth a shot!

I'm with the others, it doesn't hurt to ask! It may not be as accurate a reading, but it could give you a better idea If they can't get a good view, you tried!

I'm so sorry for another scare for you! I'm glad that baby is doing well. I'm sure you will be able to get a more accurate reading at your next scan. And I would say it doesn't hurt to ask since they are looking at baby anyway! Just remember that it is still kinda early and might not be totally accurate.

Im so sorry about the huge scare, and relieved you and baby are doing ok. Definitely ask about gender, if its possible to get a good veiw, but I think sometimes at this stage it leaves you with more doubt than anything!

Sure, why not ask! The worst they can do is say no! I am so glad the bleeding has calmed and that you're okay!

It never hurts to ask, the worst they can do is say no or not be able to make a guess right? However, I wouldn't put too much stock into whatever their guess is at this point, it's really early and it won't be overly easy to tell yet.
