Did you have to have a full bladder? Mine didn't say whether I did or not, and I have a tilted uterus, so I'm wondering if it would help to have a full (or basically, not empty) bladder through the u/s? I can't remember what I did with DD... But, I will be almost 20 weeks along, so they should not have any problems, but again, I want it to be as easy to see everything as possible!

No, I had empty bladder. As a matter of fact, I went to the bathroom right before it because they need to test the urine every time I come to the doctor's office.

They told me to have a full bladder but don't be doing the dance.

This is impossible. It's a fine line.

I have a tilted uterus too. With DD, every time I had an ultrasound, they told me to come in with a full bladder. And EVERY time the u/s tech first started, she told me I was too full... and made me go pee before she'd proceed. And with my first ultrasound this time around, they made me pee in a cup before my ultrasound??? So who knows if the tilted uterus has anything to do with it?

When I had mine done in September, yes my bladder was full...So full it hurt....She then had me empty it and told me they want a full bladder, but not to the point where it hurts...This time I won't drink as much as they tell me.

Thanks, ladies! That's what I'm thinking... I won't drown myself but will have a little before I go in, so there is SOMETHING in there but not so I have to go so badly I can't enjoy the u/s! It's an hour away, so if I go to the bathroom before I leave and drink a bottle of water on the way down, I should be fine, I hope

My paperwork says to drink 32oz of water 1.5 hours before the appointment and have at least half finished by 30 minutes prior to the appointment I know from my last ultrasound though that this is impossible (for me)! I ended up running in the hospital like a crazy person to relieve myself I'm just going to drink till I feel full and hope for the best.

I was told 16oz only. And they usually have me empty it anyway when they start!

I know when I have my abdominal ultrasounds they want my bladder full at my office. When I have my trans-vaginal ones they want my bladder empty. I as well have a tilted uterus!
