What do you girls think??

We were out with some friends last night and being in El Paso (aka Mexico) you meet some pretty cool people with different names. Last night someone we met had the first name Xiomara. In Latin its pronounced "Sha-mara" or "Sa-mara" depending on if you talk to someone from Mexico or someone from Puerto Rico.. And DH was like "Olivia Xiomara... Its sounds cool. Her initials would be OXO." lol I like it and he'd definitely use it as her middle name if I give the okay. If you heard that name, what would you think?

I have seen the name before from someone on another message board but had no idea how to pronounce it.

I love the initials!!! I wouldn't know how to pronounce it either, but I think it's a pretty name. We have a gal with twins in our PR, and one of her girls' names is Samara, and it is so pretty You'd have to be ready to pronounce it out for everyone at first, but being a middle name, it's not nearly as important in the spelling/pronunciation department as the first name.

I lived in Las Cruces so know ALLLLLLLLLL about El Paso, AKA Mexico

My favorite line of Seinfeld's was when Kramer said, "I spent a month in El Paso one night" I was just cracking up!!!

I like it but I would spell it Xiamara. I like a's, I think. It's beautiful!

I also like "Siobhan" pronounced "Sha-VONNE" but I don't like the Siobhan chick on American Idol.

I had a student once named Meoceanshaw. Pronounced "MEE-oh-shah-NEE-ah" But with a name like that she ought to answer to anything.

That's how I have heard it pronounced too. It is definitely not something you hear every day...I like names like that.

I have to put in my two cents here... you will get a LOT of comments on the cool middle initial. Scarlett's middle name starts with a Q and everyone asks what the name it.

I like the name all together and I like the initals.
