Okay first I want to start off saying I Have a HORRIBLE fear of going to the dentist...I haven't been since I was like 17 (I'm now 30)....Well I have a tooth that's bothering me, and I just checked and it looks like I have a cavity...I'm sure I have a few since it's been so long since i've been to the dentist, and I wasn't done with my dental work when I stopped going, this is just the first one to bother me...It looks like it's pretty deep, so i'm thinking root canal ugh....If I wasn't pregnant it wouldn't be so bad because i'd take an anti-anxiety, and actually I might ask my doctor if I can any way...I really don't need this, but I don't want this to turn into something serious....I guess next week i'll call around for a dentist...Anyone ever get dental work done pregnant? Also the thought of getting dental work done brings me fears from my surgery/then stillbirth with Ella, I of course can't shake that fear....I know they recomend woman getting dental work done pregnant, I actually have a paper from my doctor's office about it....I'm going to talk with him tomorrow.
With DS I had a root canal very early in my third trimester. I had to. The pain came out of nowhere, was excruciating and tooth/gum problems can lead to more problems than most people realize, even can weaken the heart. So I was panic stricken the whole time (and I don't even mind the dentist) but it went well. MY dentist called my OB right in front of me and they ok'd everything. That helped. Get it taken care of now while it's still early. Good luck!
