When are you first time mommies doing your walk thru of the L&D area at the hospital you're giving birth at?

I figure that we'll wait until July to go and tour, but not sure when we should start some of the classes that the hospital offers...

just curious about you other first time mommies

Not a 1st time mommy, but we switched hospitals this time around. We'll probably do it closer to June or July.
Thank you Alethia for my beautiful siggy

I am thinking the same time frame. The classes and the hospital where I'm giving birth are 2 different locations.

Not a first time mommy.... a 4th time mommy...LOL

But we are going to a new hospital and did the walk through around 11 weeks. We are going to a really small hospital and there are no organized tours. The docs office is in the hospital and they just call and ask if anyone is available to do a tour. It's a one on one tour and it was so nice to be able to ask lots of questions. I am so far loving the hospital we chose. There are only 4 L&D rooms! Talk about tiny.
Bobbie mom to : Jeremy (23) Amanda (20) Matthew ( 6) and Daniel (4).... RYAN DAVID 1/4/14 8lbs 10oz 20 3/4 inches!!! My miracle happened!
step-mom to: Stephany (24) and Krista (21)
step-grandma to: Wesley, Rosemarie, Scarlett

On 1/31/12 at exactly 16 weeks pregnant Noah came too soon.
If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

Also not a first time mom, but also at a new hospital. Not sure about a tour - I see my doc for the first time on Thursday and plan to ask then. May end up doing some classes (mostly for hubby's sake) so if those are at the hospital they may even include a tour. From the research I've done, this is THE hospital to have a baby at in town, and even has its own, huge, specialized "Women's Center" right there at the hospital.

Much thanks to Alethia for my beautiful siggie and tags!!

I have a hospital visit booked for August 18. My hospital does L&D unit tour along with some type of video.

At a new hospital this time as well. It's smaller. I've also had like five friends deliver there so I'm pretty familiar with it. Probably will do the tour in the summer.

I'm going to a birthing center and a tour and orientation were required before even making my first appointment. I just signed up for a birthing class that will begin at the beginning of third trimester.
