Has anyone signed up for any Pregnancy/ Childbirth Classes yet? I called the hospital last Wednesday to sign up for either a May/June or June/July series, and have yet to get a call back. That class is Childbirth preparation...Husband and I are also looking for a "What the heck do you do with it once it gets here" since neither of us has experience with babies.
Dh and I did this the first go round. Honestly, the BF class was better. The most I got out of the childbirth class was the walk through of the hospital. That way I knew exactly where to go when it was time and what to say and what to expect. The rest of the class kinda just went over what was going to happen during childbirth, which I had already read about in my 3 pregnancy books. Since we are going to be delivering in a new hospital, we'll probably do another walk through, but not another class.
I registered for class, I just have to wait till someone calls me back. I have to schedule a tour as well but I don't know when I'm going to do that. They have a class here called Daddy 411, but hubby doesn't want to go LOL ah well
We aren't going through the classes this time. I did them with both of my older children and I am feeling confident I can handle it. If you are looking for good parenting classes try calling around to some churches. Believe it or not they usually have some really in depth classes.
