I went to the Dr. today and the baby's heart rate was 168. I've been hearing if your baby's heart rate is high then its a girl. Just wanted your input on this, if you think its true or not. Also my u/s is scheduled for April 19th. Can't wait to finally find out what were having!!

Not true for me. The midwife guessed my first to be a boy based on the heart rate theory, but she was all girl, lol.

The old wives tale says that high heart rates mean girls and lower heart rates mean boys. My baby's HR is in the mid 150s -- NT scan suggested a girl. I'll find out on the 28th and let you know!

That would be interesting to see!!

At my first ultrasound (10 weeks), I asked the technician if the heartbeat thing is true. She said only very early in the pregnancy, does it indicate gender. As the pregnancy progresses, it's not an indicator. Who knows?

I think it's true for me. My daughter had a higher heartbeat then both of my sons.

I have heard the old wives tale, but I have never known the heart rate. It will be interesting to see if it was true for you!

It doesn't hold true for me. Jadon's HR was always above 160 and a few times in the 170s. This baby HR has been above 165 and we think this one is a boy too.

I didn't know the heartbeats of my boys and do not know for this one either. My office tends not to toss a lot of numbers around, which is fine by me-less stuff to potentially drive me crazy. They usually just comment that the heartbeat is good, strong, etc
