I'm doing okay. I found the best app called glucose buddy to store my numbers in.

Here is what my numbers are looking like:
7/21: 99, 131, 82, 105
7/20: 100,106,97,118
7/19: 94, 122, 104, 86
7/18: 99, 143 (I had waffle house, it was the hashbrowns, LOL) 74, 92
7/17: 100, 113, 108, 79

My fasting seem high over the past couple days. Last week they were 80s - early 90's but then again during this time I've been stressed, my A/C has gone out, and I went to the beach....

I'm mostly strict on what I eat and I eat ice cream (pistachio almond) because it the 15 carbs per serving and the nuts add protein. If I have too much starches, I do see the difference in my numbers

Jen, your numbers look so much like mine it's kind of funny.

7/15: 95,99,121,101
7/17: 93, 91, 87, 108
7/19: 100, 101, 87, 119
7/20: 100 (only checked fasting)
7/21: 94, 106, 131, waiting on dinner right now

My fasting has been higher than normal as well. I was surprised with lunch today as I had sausage with tomato sauce and some crackers.... on the 19th I had a whole Stouffer's french bread pizza and had a 87, ROFL !! I give up!

Thanks for asking Jen!!
Here are mine since last Thursday.

7/15: 80, 94, 102, 106
7/16: 97, 97, 88, 126 (the evening I had dinner out after no lunch)
7/17: 92, 109, 106, 102
7/18: 94, 102, 88, 108
7/19: 93, 100, 100, 103
7/20: 96, 94, 98, 95
7/21: 89, 103, 132 (ouch, had a hotdog at movies after only a banana for bkfst), 114

Saw my dr. today to go over numbers and she was really happy with my numbers so far...she said they were really good blood sugar levels and these few times it was really high- I KNEW why it was high. She said after I see the dietician that I may only have to test once a day or so...so we'll see...I have my appt. with the dietician tomorrow morning and hope it goes well!

I'm actually amazed at what they consider high for after food readings. I use to get upset with a 125 or so and I don't even think twice now. Obviously, I aim to keep it low but they don't worry about it so I don't.

I know right...the nurse I talked to when I was first told I had GD told me that if my fasting number is just a smidge over 100 (like 102 or more) or my after meals numbers were 122 + I needed to call them and be ready to tell them what I ate...etc....but my dr. didn't even bat an eye when I told her 132 today...she actually laughed when I told her I had a hotdog at the movies after only a banana for breakfast...so I'm trying to relax a little and not beat myself up if I splurge a little bit. We'll see what happens after I visit the fair this weekend LMAO!

It's hard to do!! When I brought my glucometer in at my last appointment I was freaking out because my fastings had been 97-98. I was shaking when I had to take my blood before the appointment and it was 134 ...... ACK NOOOO .... but I ate what I always eat every morning so I think it was my nerves. My doctor laughed at me and told me to relax and my numbers were fine. She just wants to monitor to make sure they aren't all over the place as in 160's to 180s and then in the 50's, etc.... My dietitian is ok with my numbers as well but she freaks about ketones whereas my doctor does not. So, who knows!!

Yeah, I'm a little nervous about my ketones...I explained to my dr. that I know they are high because of my carb intake (not enough) but that I've been working on it, trying to have more complex carbs throughout the day instead of just a handful all day....and that if I try hard enough I can get my ketones from 80 to 15, and having a snack before bed helps. I think she knows as well as I do that the ketones are coming from the low carbs and not so much the GD....we'll see how my dietician reacts about them tomorrow though!

Dietician. She said from here on out, I report to her and she in turn gives updates to the Dr. My Dr pretty much stays out of the GD stuff unless I see her and she asks how I've been doing.

My dr. gave me the impression that I'd only be seeing the dietician one time to go over 1:1 meal planning....I think I'm going to find out differently today...ugh.

I have emailed back and forth with my dietitian over several fasting issues and she's asked about my 2 hour meals so I sent her a few. Other than that no one is monitoring me closely. With my first I had to send them weekly to my dietitian. My doc checks my glucometer to make sure I'm not lying and that's it.

At my last appt I asked how they'll be monitoring my lil man and they won't be. I don't get special treatment because my numbers are in control and I'm not on any form of medicine. I'm a little bothered by that as you never know what's going on. I've never understood how you can say everything is ok with a baby by feeling your stomach and checking a heartbeat.
