Ok, What IS this?? I know there was a thread a few weeks back about the baby shuddering/shaking for a few seconds and then stopping. At the time, I wasn't feeling them so I never opened the thread. What is baby doing in there? It's not hiccups. I know what hiccups feel like and this is much quicker and then over. All I keep reading online is that it's the baby's undeveloped nervous system and totally normal. I'm not nervous about it, more just curious about what she is doing in there!! Even if you don't know what it is, can you reply back if you've felt them so I don't feel like the solo crazy person here?

It could be a number of things. I've read it may be the nervous system, or he's practicing breathing and it's causing some shakes somehow (with him or with the fluid)... At first, I thought he was having seizures but the doc assured me that is NOT the case and it is very normal and it's just part of the developmental phase an actually helps strengthen them and their tiny little bodies for the real world wake-up call.

Sorry I can't be of more use, Jeanine, I don't know if there's a REAL answer to this except not to worry. This is when one of those life-cams would be great to see what they are doing!

This baby does it A LOT!!! It freaks me out a bit, but I hear it is normal although I never heard why they do it. But at least you know you are not solo on this!

Same here! I have no idea of what it could be, but it sounds quite common.
