Bummer about not being able to paint, but HOORAY for deciding on a crib!!!!!! Now Lovebug has a place to sleep! In fact she will be sleeping there in less than 2 months Working on the nursery is SO much fun and I'm sure her room will be gorgeous
For the past couple of days I have been nesting, nesting, nesting! We have all the nursery furniture up. I washed all of his clothes and put them up. Today DH is going to help me with decorating stuff (wall hangings, etc.). I need to take some pics and post them!

OH, that's so pretty and a touch of modern as well as tradition!
Our walls are also white, we just chose not to paint them. We had wall stickers on them, but of course, DD was so enthralled with them that she took them down
Our nursery? Well, it's half done... because we left much as it was before moving DD to her big-girl room, but to help her transition, we took down and removed the crib, so we have to set that back up. I also have a cute border, but it's pink outlined (bear cubs, fox kits and fawn) and I'm debating changing that border to something a little more boyish (although I can not find another cute wild woodland animal border that's nursery friendly).
We won't have too much probs getting the nursery all done in probably an afternoon. Everything's already put away and organized, so it's just cleaning out a couple of DH's instruments (20 min time tops), re-doing the border (maybe, and if so, maybe an hour or two, as long as there's no damage from the other border) , and setting up the crib (not too long, maybe an hour?)...

I love the crib! Congrats on making a decision. We've made the big step of clearing the room out and now have only baby stuff in there, it's been about two weeks now though so it really is time to get on with arranging things!
Yay! You're definitely making progress!!!!! I bet Lovebug will have a FABULOUS nursery!
As for Acorn's.....we're still in a holding pattern. We can't move forward until the carpet comes on Tuesday. But, I've organized all of her gifts from the family shower and gone through the baby "must-haves" list, and after weeding out all of the "fluff" items that I know we don't need, there are still a few things left to get. DH still has to build the crib and the glider/ottoman (but at least we have them). I can't wait until we can get in there and I can decorate!!
That's exciting, Anna!! I love the crib you chose...it looks so nice! I'm considering not painting the walls for baby boy either. I CAN paint them, but I'll have to paint them back to white, and as we may only be here a year, I really don't see all the point. I'll just decorate with pictures and wall stickers. I may even hang his comforter, as I doubt he'll ever use it The boy already has more blankets than I know what to do with!
I love your idea of fairy lights in her nursery, though...that would be so precious! And probably perfect minimal lighting for nighttime feedings or wake ups. I can't wait to see finished pictures!!
