So I am from the North (NY and Chicago) and DH is from the South (Kentucky and Tennessee)! When we were in BRU the other day, we walked by the pacifiers and I asked him if we were going to use one! He laughed at what I called it and then I asked him what he called it.
I call it a tootser (don't really know how to spell it) and DH calls it a paci. I guess it's just because of where we grew up/what our families call it!

What do you call a pacifier and what region of the US/country do you live in?

I call it a binkie. I don't know why other than that's what my sister called them with her kids.

I have never heard of a tootser before!

LOL I don't think a lot of people have heard of tootser, but that is always what I have heard it called!! I couldnt figure out how to spell it, but it's not pronounced "TOOT-ser" Its more of a short "o" sound and kinda like "tut", but not! I can't figure out how to spell it!

Paci here & I'm from the south. I love tooster how cute! Did your DH look at you like, what?? when you said it? lol.

All of my family are from the Mid-West & they think it's insane we call all soda "Coke". I say we, as in Southerners, I mainly call it by the name or I will say soda. But if someone asked me what kind of coke I wanted, I'd answer with Dr. Pepper.

ROTFLMAO if someone asked me what kind of Coke I wanted I'd say "Diet" or "Cherry". All carbonated beverages here are "pop" pronounced PAHP...and this is only in Michigan, I'm pretty sure.

I always called it a binky but my son went through a phase where everything rhymed with "ish" so a binky was a "bish" and we seriously have called it that ever since. I don't even think Sierra knows that bish isn't a real word.

I am in Utah, and most people call it a "binky" we ended up calling it a "bink-a-boo" with my DD. I have no idea why. My MIL is from England and Western Canada, and she calls it a "Soother." My dad said that my Great Grandpa called it a "dumb tit." Not very PC I know.

We call varieties of pop "ginger" ONLY if it's fizzy. However, if its a flat beverage thats called juice.

"Hey do you have a drink?"
"Ginger or juice?"

I think that may be exclusively scottish....
