Oh my goodness, I'm in SOOO much pain. My back is absoloutely killing me, real low down. I was actually in tears.

Any suggestions to relieve it? I'm running my second bath, had some paracetemol and been laying with cushions under my bum.... also on all fours.

Steven, bless him, felt a bit useless.

"Anything I can do?..."

NO ...

"You must hate me just now eh?"

Usual pregnant woman eh?

Gemma.. I am so sorry you are in pain. I think back pain is #1 story in our DDC lately. Did you try stretches? And, ask Steven for a massage. I got one from DH last night and it felt better!

Maybe Steven could massage your back with a tennis ball? They recommended that method in my childbirth class. I hope you feel better soon!
Thank you JAIDYNSMUM for my adorable new siggy!

Sorry, Gemma!! Have you tried a heating pad? My back was killing me for weeks, and when I was in L&D they gave me a heating pad and it was the most amazing thing ever

I'm sorry it's hurting so bad!!! Yes get your man to give you a nice long back rub. Along with the bath you could try the heating pad and then some muscle cream (that usually helps me a little) I hope it starts to feel better asap!!

Feeling better after wallowing in the tub like a hippo for a half hour. Steven gave me a backrub, he even looked IN A BOOK to see tips (he is NOT one for literature )

He was like..woah, this is the worst I've ever seen you in pain...(just wait til the labour, if you thought tonight was bad!!)

I normally don't show pain really, I cope with it everyday cause of my EDS so I have a high threshhold, but GOODGOLLYMISSMOLLY tonight was another story I just wanted him out!..though I don't...argghhhh.

I'm so sorry you are in pain!!! I think the girls have great ideas. I have a hot water thing that I put on my back and it feels SOOOO good (basically same results with a heating pad). Massages are great, muscle cream (icy hot actually helped me) is fine, too... I have been seeing a chiro every 3 weeks and getting a massage 1/month, and haven't had NEAR the back probs that I had with DD, so maybe a visit to a chiro or a masseuse can help?

Hat's off to Vicki for my cute siggy, thank you!

My chiropractor has SAVED my back through this pregnancy, I am sure of it.

Another thing that helps me (when I'm not in really, really excruciating pain) is to get on all fours and do light stretches like cat/cow/pelvic tiliting/rocking. Also bouncing or rolling gently on a physioball helps a little too.

Sounds like what I am going through now, everyday! Does the pain travel into your ribcage too? It's sciatic, the only way to get rid of it is to have the baby sorry to say. Nothing helps it 100%. I take a couple Tylenol 3's and he helps sometimes but only temporary.

I'm sorry. My lower back pain has brought me to tears more than once this pregnancy. It's not fun!! I'm glad you're feeling better.
