I don't have to do the swap test they picked it up in my blood work near the beginning of the pregnancy.

My doctor said 35-36 weeks. I'm having it done at my next appointment on the 3rd. Oh, joy!

Had it when tested with Jacob. Assuming it's something that stays with you so I guess I can just tell them I have it?

I pretty sure I was positive with DS and negative with DD, so they will probably still test you.

I was checked last time I gave my urine - around 30 weeks. There is a way to get rid of it my doctor said. I have it and I am currently on antibiotics. She will keep on checking me, but I am sure I will be pumped with the antibiotics as soon as my water breaks to be sure baby does not get it.

Same here, just with boys both times. I guess you can be a carrier of it, but it isn't always an "active" kind of thing. That's the reason they test near the end.

My doc said 36 weeks.

I'm getting it done at my next appointment when I'm nearly 35 weeks... Aug. 3 I think. I am not sure if I have to have a 36 week appointment or if I can skip to 37 weeks and go weekly from there, but my OB kept saying at the next appointment, so there ya go!

I do believe I took it a few weeks before I delivered DD. I tested negative for it, DD caught it during delivery [I was running fever - all kinds of fun stuff] & she had to stay in the hospital for 10 days to receive antibiotics 2x's a day. I remember being so upset since I tested negative for it at my OB's office. I'm not sure when I will take it with this pregnancy, I will have to ask my OB on Thursday.

i didn't know that you may not always have it I'll have to ask my ob - i just assumed since i had it with DS that i had it and would have the anti-botics. I have an appointment tomorrow so i'll ask then.
