I'm trying to pack lighter this time, but we'll see how much this adds up to be...
clothes to go home in
brush, hair ties, small bag of make up, soap, shampoo, tooth brush, tooth paste
flip flops (I'll probably wear them there and home )
breast support pillow (it's about the size of your hand, maybe)
iPod touch (email and web!)
cell phone, chargers for both the iPod and phone
camera (fully charged)
maybe a couple snacks (protein bars kind of thing)
baby clothes (can't pack til we know the weather conditions)
gift for DD from the baby (stilllll don't know what to get her!)
robe to get around in
towel for shower
What I'm using from the hospital:
hospital gown (they work for me)
net underwear (good enough to ruin!)
baby blanket (you get to keep the one they use)

I am going to keep it VERY simple, because with both babies I bled through each time and just bled through the hospital gowns , etc.. so I will NOT be getting dressed until time to leave...
Also they provide everything for baby....blankets, wipes, diapers, formula, nose sucker, etc.
I will bring... For me
Comfortable Tshirt since you still look pregnant.
Socks for wearing with hospital gown
2 or 3 cute outfits
Carseat & Blanket
Our hospital sends you home with everything that was in the rolling drawers..so we will get all the extra formula, disposable bottles that are pre-filled, wipes, diapers, receiving blankets, etc, as well as tucks, dermoplast spray, pads, etc.
i'm not too worried about the bag. I have not packed it yet. whatever I forget or need, I will send someone to wal-mart for. My house is only 20 minutes from hospital, so no biggy. This is weird for me, because I am a very organized person, who always makes lists. I am just very chill this time around. Maybe it is just the BTDT in me, or just getting more relaxed as I get older. After many trips/vacations....I have learned that whatever I need/forget I can always buy (or send someone to buy.)
Really don't know yet LOL I only packed a bag with my last one LOL I always just got DH to pick up what I needed.
I will just have my going home outfit, shower/bathroom supplies. Camera, iphone and chargers.
I'll have Layla's diaper bag packed and ready, and bring a couple outfits. Also by tradition DH goes and picks out outfits with the kids before coming back to visit us the next morning

I'll pack a bag even if I have a home birth, just in case I end up having to head to the hospital at some point. I'm thinking I'll pack
Toiletries (face wash, lotion, toothpaste/brush, hairbrush, hair ties, shampoo/conditioner, glasses and extra contacts, lots of chapstick)
Nightgown/Sleep shirt (I just hate hospital gowns and want to be comfy!)
Nursing bra/tank top
Stretch pants and T shirt (to lounge around in if I stay for 24 hours or more...though I might have those on when I get there. I forgot I won't go to the hospital naked.)
Leggings to wear home
Cute shirt to wear home
Extra pair of flip flops (in case I leave home without any )
Snacks!! (granola bars, cookies, etc.)
Pillow (I'm a huge baby. I can't sleep without my own pillow)
iPod and docking station if I can steal it back from my brother by then
Books and magazines and crossword puzzles
Spare set of keys (I guarantee mine will be left/locked in somewhere)
3 diapers (one to come home in, 2 extra just in case)
car seat (well, it will be in my car...which will have to somehow make it to the hospital...I haven't thought that far)
memory book (so I can take notes right away!)

I'm totally frustrated on the robe issue. My favorite is an old one of DH's he keeps trying to toss out so I have appropriated. It's very ragged though. I have a purple one of my own, but it's that fleecy material (not absorbent), whereas his is terrycloth (absorbent).
So I hate how mine feels when you get out of the shower if I've missed any spots for drying. So I don't use it at all, not even if I'm just getting up for something, and don't want it at the hospital either.
I keep trying to find me a nice big fluffy terry cloth (that doesn't look so terrible!), and they don't exist! I might just take this comfy one and say forget it about how it looks. lol.
