I will be getting a flu shot and probably getting a h1n1 shot too. I had h1n1 last year, it was terrible!

I always get the flu shot and had the H1N1 shot last year... I'll definitely be getting whatever flu shots are out there this year. I know my doctor puts pregnant women as high risk for flu and also encourages their spouses to get the shot as well.

I always get the seasonal flu shot and will probably be getting the H1N1 shot too. I didn't get the H1N1 shot last year and thankfully didn't get sick. DD got her's though.
This year DH and Olivia will be getting both shots too.

I plan on getting both shots, it's the only way to protect the baby. Last year me and DH got the H1N1 shot because DD was to young to get it and we figured that if we were protected then she would probably be okay too. I'm not sure if I will be giving DD the vacine though. She is not in daycare but we do go to church and grocery stores and stuff so I might. It really scares me to think of a tiny baby getting the flu. There is a big risk of complications when they are that little.
It was reassuring to know that when DD got sick last winter we knew it wasn't the flu because I was usually sick with her and if I was sick then it couldn't be swine flu since I had been vaccineated.

I will be getting the shot and from what I have read about the Flu Shot this year will include the H1N1. That way it is all one shot. I got both last year and I too fear getting it being pregnant. We can only do what we can do.

I always get a flu shot. I got the H1N1 shot last year - so I'll have to confirm with my Dr. to see if I'm still protected.

I will probably get the flu shot. I don't typically get it, but because I am pregnant, I will. I will not get the H1N1 shot though. I just don't trust it. I didn't get it for my son either last year. I just felt they came out with it too fast and honestly didn't feel comfortable getting it and taking a chance of it causing harmful effects. The H1N1 was so hyped last year, I sure hope it isn't so hyped this this next season.

Last season I received the flu shot and then the H1N1 in April after becoming preggo. So far (knock on wood) I haven't been sick even though all of my coworkers have gotten various ills.
I will definitely get the shot (this year they are combining them) when it is available.

Yes they are combining the shot so if you get the flu shot you are protected from H1N1.
I got both last year and get the flu shot every year anyway so this is no big deal for me.
My son is 2 I like to be protected so I don't get it and bring it home to him. I work on college campus so exposure risks were high.

Well if they are both combined then I am happy with that. I just didn't like how fast everything was distributed last season. I am sure there has been plenty of testing to make sure these are safe. I still hope there isn't so much hype on the H1N1. I didn't get the H1N1, but I had it rough. I was sick with phenomena really bad. I am not looking forward to flu season!

getting H1N1 last year made me fail a class, it was awful. (they let me medical withdrawal though) I was out for a week, and absolutely miserable.
Not sure on the shots, I might this year. I've never been vaccinated against the flu before. But I might just because of my craptastic adventure with H1N1...

I probably won't get the shots for protecting me, I had H1N1 last year and so did DS. I usually don't come down with the flu. I may get them only because of the baby and that's it.

i get the flu shot every year because they give them free here at work. I will be getting both this year to protect me and the baby. Just make sure that if you do get them you see you DR as they generally have a mercury free version of the flu shots for pregnant women and i don't think the drug stores carry them. I know last year when my cousin was pregnant she had to wait till our OB's office got the mercury free version of the H1N1 as it didn't become avaliable till a little later.

I never get the flu shots. Well I only did the year AJ was born cause he was too young to get it that winter. AJ didn't get his flu shot last year either cause the wait list was so long.
I may get the flu shot this year because of being pregnant and maybe the baby would get some antibodies from it. I don't know - still unsure.

I have always refused to get any flu shots. I have just heard that some have had negative experiences with them. It's interesting that I feel a little differently about it now that I am preggers.

No flu shots for me, particularly now. Our pediatrician who was pregnant and seeing lots of sick kids last year during the swine flu outbreak opted NOT to take the shot after consulting with her OB, I trust her, and after the discussion we had, I haven't changed my mind.

I've never once gotten the flu shot and never once have had the flu... *knock on wood* The least amount of shots injected into my body, the better, in my opinion!
