We haven't had a status update in a while. How is everyone doing with their goals? Weight loss? Healthier eating/lifestyle and habits?
Weight-wise I'm still where I want to be, I just wish more of that number was from muscle. I can really only get myself to work out in the mornings, but with BF that is out of the question since in the AM, I need to feed Gavin first thing or I'll burst and by the time he's done eating, my toddler is up and ready to be entertained. We had been going for a nice long walk every day but for the last week we have had temps in the 90's and horrific humidity so that's not an option either. Quite frankly, I'm discouraged.
I went on a crazy spurt for a couple days and ate gluten and some desserts I wouldn't normally just b.c I was sick and tired of being sick and tired but I'm back on the sanity train now, thank goodness!
Well, I need to have started something to have any progress... :\ I did really well on the Wii Fit for a while, but vacation and other things knocked me off the wagon. DH has gout and is tired of suffering so we're all going on a new diet to help him. Hopefully it will help us all!
I've joined the gym and have go with my sister each morning on weekdays. I'm super motivated at the gym and have been cooking great meals at home, but the scale is still stuck. That often happens to me when I join the gym because I usually gain a few lbs of muscle before I start losing fat, so I'm not going to weigh myself for a week or so and then see where I'm at. I also ate some awesome deserts this weekend...I should really try harder to avoid those.
So for now, I'm just happy with myself for getting up at 5:30 from mon-fri and getting an hour workout in at the gym before my day starts with Melodie. I'm commited to getting my body fit again, even if it takes longer this time around.
I am down to 133.4. Only have 8 more pounds to go. My eating is a whole lot healtier. I make wiser choices with my portions and snacks. I still splurge every now and again-like tonight hubby is making pot roast - yummy. But I will be watching my portions and not eating bread tonight. ( I used to think I had to eat rolls with roast)
