How do users get banned from the site? It may be a silly question, but I'm just curious...

If they break too many rules they will be suspended and eventually banned.
Or if they are faking they will be banned right away.

Peculiar behavior. The mods will usually look into ISP addresses to see if there is more than one registered etc..
Starting lots of arguments and being nasty. Trolls. etc...

Yup...breaking rules like posting pictures that are not yours...making up totally fake stories (like going into labor at 25 weeks when you weren't). Those kinds of things.

I have run into some of this on the boards I lurk on, but it would really shock me to see it on JM. There are crazy people everywhere, but our hosts and Mods keep the boards in check.
Kat.

People like that creep me out. It's pretty sad if you have to fake a pregnancy to online strangers just for attention. I've met a few girls like that in RL. Usually they're trying to trap some guy. Creepy

I've been on JM for over 2 years and it's happened once or twice. Thankfully out site is moderated so it doesn't happen very often.

Sadly sometimes people can make themselves fairly "real" and still be fakes. I experienced it on my sons DDC! Personally. She had my address and everything. I was oblivious until she finally was found out and banned.

Women who fake pregnancies kind of scare me. I would freak out if we had one on here because it would always make me wonder if they are stalking pregnant women for their babies. This is one of the reasons I give away very little identifying info online, you just never know who is behind the keyboard.

She vanished after some pointed questions were directed her way. I always suspect trolls when a teenager claims they had sex only once and ended up pregnant with multiples, it seems to be the most common lie for bored kids. There was actually an article on the subject last year...seems to be a hobby for some.
I didn't used to be so paranoid (women faking pregnancies and stalking other pregnant women) but for the last few years there have been things like that in the newspaper. I remember reading an article last year where a woman went to pick up some maternity clothing from a craigslist listing and she was attcked and killed for her unborn child. The child lived and was reunited with it's family but sadly the mother's body was found in an attic. After that I became very paranoid.

Oh my...i never even thought of that I'm not even going to comment on what happened to that woman...it made me tweak a little just reading about it...YIKES
How do these people expect to get away with faking being pregnant? I mean...pretty much everyone ends up posting pics eventually. Not to mention if you've never been pregnant before how are you supposed to know what's supposed to be going on with your body during that time frame of pregnancy? Just reading about it wouldn't cut it lol.

I supose some people will go a long way for attention.
