I was pretty amazed when I realized that I could eat 3 tacos for 365 calories and 15 grams of fat! Sweet! That will have to be something that I'll have to have more often for supper.

Trying to eat healthy during PMS is soooooooo hard. But I think I'm still doing really well, even though my chocolate craving is bugging me really bad. Also, what was keeping me full before isn't working right now, but I know that's only because I get ravenous when my period is nearing. *sigh* But I'm staying on top of it!

I'd say it looks like you're doing pretty good. I might suggest staying away from sugary breakfasts, though. They don't give you the solid energy you need or help with milk production, and one bowl of sweet cereal can be your entire recommended allowance of sugar for the day.

In response to your other post, it's not necessarily how much you eat that can help with milk production, but what you are eating. I see carrots, potatoes and yogurt in at least one place in your diary and these are all excellent foods for production. Processed foods and refined sugars all kill production and are also high in calories; so if that's where your higher level of caloric intake comes from, you're not helping your supply simply by adding more calories. Does that make sense or did I explain it really confusingly? lol.

No, it made sense! That's why I was thinking that my milk supply was increasing, because I'm eating way better choices than I used to. I'm including a lot more veggies and fruits than ever before, and the majority of my protein is lean meat. I still indulge in the sugary foods here and there (like Marshmallow Puff cereal, lol), because I've always had an enormous sweet tooth, and this is the only way I can maintain a healthy eating plan without eating things like candy bars. However, it never occurred to me that cereal isn't the best way to start my day. My breakfast this morning was a turkey sandwich, which is a little better, but I agree that I have to start eating something like eggs in the morning, with wheat toast, to carry me through to lunch.

Oh, and I forgot to add that we just went food shopping, so I have a lot more fresh produce options to eat from now. I was kind of running out before. LOL. I bought cucumbers, baby carrots, canteloupes, fresh ears of corn, etc. So that should help!

I switched to eating greek yogurt and fruit for breakfast almost every day. It has 120 calories, zero fat, and a ton of protein. I find them very filling and tasty. Much better than the 800 calorie fast food breakfasts I was eating...

My hubby was just talking about greek yogurt like an hour ago, LoL. We're interested in starting to buy it. Does it taste a whole lot different? And is it flavored?

It's thicker and less sugary than regular yogurt, but I really like it. You can get lots of flavors...honey, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, etc. My favorite is the honey. I can eat a 5 oz container and stay full for hours.
