Ugh, I just need to vent.

So the IL's haven't called or emailed or tried to get in touch with us at all for a month, since we got Kaedence baptized. They were so weird that day--my MIL got hair extensions (she is 56 years old) so she had long wavy hair and looked like she was trying to be 18 years old, it was so bizarre.

So DH called them to say "hi" (and the boys are doing fine, thanks for asking) and they were like "well why don't we come over tomorrow?" (they live 2 hours away).

I was like "noooooooooooooooo" because it was actually going to be a day home alone, just the 4 of us. So instead of enjoying a night tonight, we have been cleaning the house like mad because it is a pigsty.

Anyways, I know I should be grateful they want to see the boys and at least we got a 12 hour notice, but I just don't feel like seeing them tomorrow. Plus, Kaedence is sick, so he is going to be fussy and not nap well, and I just don't like dealing with that in front of them, you know? Thanks for letting me vent.

I hate last minute guests. Especially now that my house is not always presentable since I am a little busy nowadays! My in-laws have done this before too and it makes me crazy. I totally understand about your family time being so precious, DH works 4 nights a week so the time we get together is cherished. I'm sorry your weekend isn't going as planned.

HATE it! I have actually come right out and told my own family how I feel about it lol, but I haven't mustered up the nerve to do the same for the inlaws. So for now I just vent about it to DH and you guys rofl. Seriously though, there is nothing more rude than people that just drop by without notice! Even giving a short amount of notice is not often enough for people with kids!

I hate it too, we just moved here so we don't know anyone for now. My parents live 2 hours away and would never just show up. My outlaws live in another province they just called to say they are coming for Tanksgiving which is fine. They have only met Tanner once and have never met Jayden.

Girl, I totally feel ya! My IL's live 7 hours away and gave us a days notice of their arrival. My house was a disaster, I had no groceries, etc. Oh, and Patrick was 6 weeks old at the time and very fussy. I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Thank goodness they stayed at a hotel.

I hate it also! My IL's have done that a few times and it makes me so irritated! I dislike any company in general actually
