I am pumping every hour and a half and getting about 2oz each time. Right now I am pumping just enough to make it through the next feeding. I am hoping things pick up a bit so I can freeze some.

How are you all doing?

Beau is 8 days and we are up to pumping between 3 and 5 oz at a time and I am going longer between pumpings that you. So far he has had a lot of formula. Today is the first day I was ahead on the breast milk. Right now I can either go to sleep, or pump Beaus next meal. I think I'll pump as I am leaking.

Today I am trying to reintroduce Beau to nursing, this pump and bottle feed is terribly time consuming. I had a little bit of luck today. I got two 20 minute feedings in at the boobie.

I was pumping at the beginning and I was puming every 2.5 - 3 hrs (similar to when he would be eating). I was getting roughly 4 - 6 ounces at a time. I think if you try to put a bit more time in between you might get more.

Just curious as to why you're pumping-I had to do it with my first and I know it gets exhausting.

I would keep pumping that often right now to signal to your body to make more. You can also try OTC stuff like Fenugreek to help boost your supply. Monster cookies always helped me too.

I haven't began pumping yet as my dr. advised I wait 3-4 weeks to start, and then to only do it maybe twice a day after she has fed. I have been catching my "drips" with the breast saver though just to get a headstart. I can usually get a good 1-2oz. of drips each feeding.

I am pumping because I can't get him to latch and neither could the lactation specialist at the hospital. Neither of the girls could latch either. I am actually going to try again tonight and see if I can get him latched. I have oversizeed nipples that generall don't get hard but I have noticed this time that they have been hardening so I might just be able to get him on. He has a very tiny mouth so that was posing some problems as well, but now that he is a little older it might just work.

I am finding it very exhausting with pumping every 2 hours all around the clock, and it has to be every 2 or I get completely engorged. I am producing quite a bit of milk and even in the last 24 hours it has improved to almost 4oz every 4 hours. I am conserned with how long I am going to be able to keep this routin up so hopefully I can get a lot frozen so I won't feel so bad if I end up throwing in the towel.

Gotcha-my oldest couldn't BF because of his tongue tie, so pumping started. Do you have a good pump to make sure you're emptying each time? When I pumped I was usually only able to pump 3-5 times a day (I refused to get up and pump at night though ). I hope you can get a back up stash!

Maybe in between pumping and when you know he's not hungry, try letting him try to BF and maybe he'll get the hang of latching. We tried after my son's tongue tie was clipped, but he was stubborn and was too used to the bottle and wouldn't even try.

I am pumping and trying to bf a little. I pumped every 3 hrs, now it's more like 4-5hrs , and I only do once per night since i am too tired to do it at night. I get about 5oz per pumping session. I've got some stack already in the freezer, since Michael only eats about 3-4oz. It's definitely tough, but I was pumping with my daughter for 9 months, and there were no hands free pumps at the time.

Exclusive pumper here too but not doing as well as some of you but that is because I probably wait too long in between - 4 hours sometimes but usually 3 to 3.5 and then only pumping 1 time at night - I really need to get on the ball about it.

I am getting about 3 to 4 oz at each pump - we also supplement so I am freezing 4 oz bags right now --- I want to make sure that he gets at least one bottle of BM each day and I am happy.

I pump right after I nurse, and I usually pump about 3 oz (about 2.5 oz off the non-nurse side and .5 oz off the side I just nursed off). My problem now is that I have about 10 oz of pumped milk stored in the freezer and a baby who won't take a bottle.

I pump every 3-5 hours. Sometimes I pump more often but I cant go more then 5 hours without hurting. Hayden has been wanting to eat every 3-4 hours usually about 2 oz per feeding. I get about 5 ozs total from each pump, so I have a pretty good batch in the freezer. Probably about 50 oz in the fridge. I need to start drinking more water & eating oatmeal to help supplement so when he starts to eat more.

Have you tried nipple shields? They might help, not sure. I know I had some latching issues with my older girls and a shield really helped. Every now and then I have to bring it out with Elli because she gets lazy and doesn't want to latch very well. It makes a world of difference for us!

I know how exhausting pumping can be. I was pumping every 3 hours and then bottle feeding two infants for a loooong time. Between pumping, feeding, and washing the pump parts and bottles, it seems like I never got much else done!!
