I just made 2 batches of the dough and can't wait to have the cookies after baby arrives. Not sure if it's really the oatmeal or the massive amount of ice cold milk I like to drink with the warm cookies, but boy they were awesome for my supply last time!

I had them right after I had Kellen and my sweet boy could NOT keep up with the milk supply! I plan on making them again in a couple weeks, when I'm ready to really start pumping again.

They were DELISH and my DH could not stop eating them too! (he thought he'd have to start pumping, the amount he was eating )

I have all the stuff waiting in my pantry to make them. That was on the list to do today...but I don't think that is going to happen now. I might try making them after DS1 goes to bed.
Right now supply seems on track. I am going to weigh Luke on Thursday. If he isn't back up to birth weight, cookies here I come!!!

Here is the recipe for anyone interested!

I haven't but I don't have supply issues, well I do.. I need to decrease it really.. it's painful and messy.
Monster cookies are a favourite for me though. My grandma used to make them all the time when I was a kid. But the recipe I have is huge! It's pretty much the same ingredients I think but it has a dozen eggs and I think 18 cups of oats My grandma would make the batch a freeze a bunch. Oh and FYI they don't freeze hard and are still SO yummy from the freezer!

I know NOTHING of monster cookies. I love oatmeal though. Please share??? I have not leaked one drop of milk yet.

Ooops now I see! I want them without the peanut butter and no M&Ms. So I guess I just want oatmeal cookies!!!
Thanks Kiliki for the siggy!

Here is the recipe the NICU gave me.

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons flax seed meal
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups oats
1 cup chocolate chips
2-4 tablespoons brewer's yeast

Preheat oven to 350°.

Mix the flaxseed meal and water and let sit for 3-5 minutes.

Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar well.

Add eggs and mix well.

Add flaxseed mix and vanilla, beat well.

Sift together flour, brewers yeast, baking soda, and salt.

Add dry ingredients to butter mix.

Stir in oats and chips.

Scoop onto baking sheet.

Bake for 12 minutes.

Let set for a couple minutes then remove from tray.
