Didn't know if there was thread for this already but I couldn't find one... What are you doing today to exercise?

Tomorrow, if they clear me to workout at the doctor, I'm going to take my first short walk with the baby. I'll start small since I literally have no muscle left and I'll just walk to the front of the neighborhood and back.

I am not sure what I am allowed to do, but I have been taking walks every day. Fist I could not walk very fast, but it is getting much better. I also tried to do some sit-ups in the bath. I did 20 today and will keep on doing the every day until I feel comfortable with the real ones.

We ended up at the mall that day (I know its early to have him there but we had no choice) and since we accidentally parked at the wrong end, I walked the whole length of the mall. Today I haven't had a chance to do anything b/c I'm packing for myself and the baby to travel up north tomorrow for a funeral (DBF's uncle), doing laundry and trying to get things organized.

15 days pp here and I am still a little sore if I do too much walking around grocery store, target, etc, so I am afraid to do any real walking for exercise. I am going to stroller walk on Monday just to test it out before I lace up real tennis shoes and get my butt moving.

Oh I am also trying to do 10 kegels each breast-feeding session.

I'm doing kegels like crazy now, even though it hurts still. However I don't think I can do any real exercise until my bladder issue resolves. It sucks, I want to go walk so bad, because I feel huge, and feel like I need to get doing something about it! I think I need to be taking it easy until my bladder decides to get back up where its supposed to be.

Take it easy, Carrie. You don't want to cause more problems for yourself. Any luck with more weight loss after your initial drop?

I am so curious to see what I weigh when I go home on Thursday. I'll be doing light walking starting Monday since I have to walk my son to school (he's off this Friday).

I don't know how long I'm supposed to take it easy for. I was out of the hospital on a Friday and that Sunday I went for a 2 hour walk in my area. It was a nice slow walk with a few breaks of sitting on a bench for about 5-10 minutes each time and a stop at a cafe for 20 minutes.

I weighed myself about 5 days after getting home and was 20 pounds lighter then my last pregnancy weigh in. I'll weight myself next time I go to the pharmacy.

Woohoo! I feel so much better (for the moment, lol) now that I got a little exercise. I walked with the stroller for a very short walk 1st time out. It was maybe half a mile. Then when we got home I did 20 situps and 20 squats, just to see if I'm sore from the situps before I really start trying to workout. I really want to do my Skinny B&*ch Fitness:Body dvd for the butt workout but I had todo a "test drive" first. Now to see how I feel tomorrow...
