I have a hard time keeping up with the forums here, so sorry if this has previously been mentioned, but has anyone else heard a clicking or popping noise that sounds as if it came from your torso area?? I was laying in bed last night and heard a snap -- almost like a knuckle crack -- but didn't think too much about, but I was just sitting here in the quiet this morning and heard it again. It sounds like it came right from the top of my uterus! Both times, it occurred as my little guy was moving around, and he's kicking around in there as I type this, so I'm not necessarily concerned, just confused. Any advice?

This always amazes me! I've heard of this on every pregnancy board I'm on lol!! I've never experienced it but I have heard of this many, many times and I don't think I've ever heard what causes it. But I do know its common and I don't think anything to worry over

It just happened for the 3rd time -- a quick, high-pitched noise that I know is coming from my torso region -- so I spoke to a nurse who stated that 'she's never heard of such a thing' and then offered to schedule an appointment for me. I asked if she'd simply run it by the midwives and docs in the office, and she kind of blew that off, which really bugs me, but I simply told her I'd wait it out, since, like MK stated, this has been mentioned on other pregnancy boards and it never ends up being anything that causes harm. I was just hoping someone else has heard this noise so I wouldn't feel so awkward, if that makes sense.

With having pubis symphysis that can happen to my pelvis and also this time my hips pop and crack but apart from bones etc grinding and popping I've never heard of anything like that. I've had the pelvic problem 3 times now so I'm used to hearing it and doesn't worry me x

I TOTALLY forgot about this, but it did happen to me with my last pregnancy! It was the strangest sensation. I tried explaining it to my friends, but they looked at me like I was strange. Then it got loud enough where DH could hear it.

I asked my Dr about it and she said it was fluid moving around the baby so that's what I just figured it was so never really worried about it.

I had it with all of my pregnancies around this time. The doctor couldn't give me a clear diagnosis on it tho. It really was weird. I hope you get yours figured out.

MiaVena,
For both of the pregnancies that I experienced this with, I was much further along....like mid-late 3rd trimester. If you are having any sort of doubt or pain, call your doctor.

Congrats on your pregnancy!
