I've been noticing for a while now that my DH is gaining weight, ever since he got promoted to his new job, which is a desk job (therefore, he moves around a LOT less than he did with his previous job). But I haven't mentioned anything about it to him, because I would of course never want to hurt his feelings. So when he said today that he'd like to put some restrictions on his diet, I was soooo shocked and happy! My DH is definitely not the type of person who's ever shown any sort of interest in losing weight, so this really caught me off guard and made it WAY easier to start offering suggestions. I packed his lunch for tomorrow with a fresh fruit salad, low-fat vanilla yogurt, and turkey breast. I'm just so happy and proud of him! Now we'll both be eating healthier, which makes bying food a whole lot easier! He said that he's starting this because his jeans are getting too tight and he doesn't want to have to buy new jeans! But whatever works. LOL
