I now have 4 cc's of fluid in my band. I get filled on Tuesday. I've lost another pound since then and I'm definitely less hungry now.

I'm so excited that this is working for me!

That's great! I actually don't know anything about this particular surgery, only that I remember you talking about it. Is it like a gastric bypass??

It's basically just a band that is put around the top portion of the stomach. It makes the upper portion of your stomach smaller so you feel full and stay full longer. It's completely reversible and has a low rate of surgical side effects/complications.
It's typically a last resort type surgery when someone can't lose weight or keep the weight off and has other weight related health problems like high blood pressure, sleep apnea etc.

Ohh, okay. It sounds much less invasive than a gastric bypass surgery.

Much less! It's an outpatient surgery and it only took my surgeon one hour to do it.

Way to Go Amanada!!!! I am so happy and excited for you. I work with a lady that lost almost 100 pounds doing lap band and has kept it off for almost 2 years now. Again so excited for you!!!!
