I know this will vary depending on preference and how long the baby will stay that weight. Right now after several baby showers we have around 30 full outfits (pants and tops) for 3-6 months. Which seems excessive to me. My DH helps out with laundry and we usually do laundry 1 a week. We are both minimalists when it comes to "stuff".I am contemplating returning some of them for store credit, thinking that if we do need more we can always go buy some. WDYT???

I would most likely return some of them......14 would be the maximum I would keep (figuring 2 outfits a day if you have a spitty baby).....and then use the store credit to purchase a larger size either now or after baby gets here......

I like to have a lot of outfits in each size. Maybe that's wasteful, but whatever. There were times though when I was just too exhausted to do the laundry for a whole week. And if I just had a handful of outfits, well, I'd be screwed. You also have to figure in that there will be days when you change the baby's outfit like 4 times due to poop explosions, spit-up, and other incidents. So for me, 30 would be perfect. It's sort of a personal preference I guess.

30 is alot but that depends on you. I liked dressing them in something different everyday.. & they will spit up, poop on it.. so figure at least 2 outfits a day. If you're contemplating. maybe return 10? & keep 20? We should all be so lucky to have such a problem..LOL!!

30 is a lot of outfits. I usually wash the little ones outfits about once a week. Some days you may have to change them twice, some days once and some days up to three times. I would probably keep around 14 or so. If you later decide you needed more you could always go out and grab them at that time.

I like to have less of the smaller sizes and then more as the sizes go up. They grow out of the small sizes so far, but the bigger sizes they are in longer (so they get worn or I get bored with them). Personally the most I would have of 3-6 months is 10. Like you said, it just depends on you and what you like/how you do things.

Yeah I agree it sounds like a lot, (and I buy a LOT) but rather than "outfits" I like to have a lot more little mix and match pants and onesie type stuff, I would probably return some and get some more stuff like that if it were me. I have a ton for her, but most of them were hand me downs.

I would keep your favorites/weather-size appropriate and return about 2/3's of it.

I have no Idea what i have, but it's alot, but alot was given to me as gifts as each kid was born as well as hand me downs and new outfits I *HAD* to buy for each baby. As I go thru boxes of sizes I'm tossing into good will ones that are not my favorites since I have so much!

I love baby clothes

For myself, an admitted children's clothing addicit, 30 outfits sounds just swell.

I would return the outfits I didn't like the style of though.
