A close friend of mine swears that Guinness beer will up your supply.

Well two nights now I have had two beers after Daniel nurses for the last time of the night. Both mornings I have pumped 10-12 ounces in the morning AFTER feeding him.

Kinda funny....wonder if it's true?

I have always heard a beer a day will boost your supply.

Have you tried doing a serious increase to your fluid intake too? I notice a big difference if I don't drink enough water Might be worth it to try that to give it a boost too.

My friend said its a stout beer that does it... but genius is the most known stout.
She also said that she could feel her ducts get full while drinking it (??? I thought that was a bit much), but it might be true.

Also, I heard that its the brewer's yeast in the beer that causes the increase, and brewers yeast comes in a supplement you can get at most herb supply stores. I have not took any w/ Collin, but I did take brewers yeast w/ Logan, and I never had a supply issue.

Also, I marathon pump every night after he goes to bed. I wont quit until I get 4oz each night before bedtime. If I freeze 4oz every day, that amounts to almost one gallon each month in storage. I will sometimes use that 4oz if he needs a bottle for some reason...

I've never pumped that much with Collin, but to be fair I don't pump that much... just at night...

I also heard a beer a day helps your supply, but that too much beer in a day is bad for the supply. I'm pretty sure I also heard it has to do with the yeast in it. The only beer I've ever tried that I could finish was the beer with lime...
