Does anyone know what I can do for him? I gave him a big glass of apple juice with dinner hoping it might help.. Starting tomorrow I'm going to make sure he increases his fluids, water, etc.. but He's been constipated all day, and I don't know what to give him....As I write this he's about crying on the toilet.. He's never been constipated like this before.
I would call either the pedi or the pharmacy and see what they would recommend. There are some child safe laxatives out there. Just only use them in a dire situation (like now).
Also, make sure to increase his fiber intake and limit his dairy. That is what we have to do for my daughter who has had similar issues in the past. We have never had to do the laxative route, but we have come close.
Miralax has a kid version, my sister uses it on her 18 month old daily (with pedi's approval) Also Pedialax is a glycerin suppository that works, (SIL gave it to my 5yo niece) or an enema if it gets that bad. My other sister gave one to her 9yo less than a year ago. Apparently my family has issues with this.

Yep you can use Miralax. I've used it with Mason before.
Other than that does he like fruit? If so feed him a bunch of. When my dd gets like that I give her fruit with every meal and snacks and it always works the same day. She has things like strawberries, plums and peaches.
