So I am due for an upgrade in a couple months and am researching what phones their are.

I REALLY want an iphone. I like that you can get apps for everything. Is the Iphone and the new windows phone the only phones you can get apps like that on?

Thx Ladies!

Probably on at&t, I'm not sure. I had the iphone 3g, and it was nice. You may also want to look into android phones. I have some issues with at&t, which is why I went with the htc evo when my contact ran out. I felt like at&t was taking advantage of people who just wanted the iphone, every didn't let you do things that all other networks allow. Some examples are: you can only video chat on wifi. Not like I video chat very often, but it still bugs me. Also, you have to pay if you want to tether your phone to your computer. Every other network lets you do that for free. You can't download large files off itunes unless you are on wifi, etc. oh, and they just changed their data plans so they aren't unlimited anymore. Not that most people will use all the data on the higher plan, but I also don't like to worry about it either.

Now that the iphone is going to be on verizon, it may more worth considering. I liked the iphone a lot, but I love my evo too. It has a much bigger screen, 4g access (which is super fast), unlimited data and tethering, and it has a lot of apps available. Not as many as the iphone, but it has everything I need. I also like that the camera is 8 mega pixels. I've printed some really nice 5x7s from my phone, I haven't tried 8x10s yet. The iphone 4 only has 5 mega pixels, which is still good, but not as good.

Good luck shopping, I'm curious to hear what you get!

I already pre-ordered my Verizon iPhone! So excited!

Before Verizon announced they would be offering the iPhone next month, I did some research and I was going to get the Droid X. I have heard great things about it. But now that I can get the iPhone, that is what I am going with.

Wait until Feb and get the Iphone through Verizon! I have the Iphone 4 through AT&T... AT&T bites (they are the ones that laid off hubby too) but besides their service is crap on the Iphones. Dh and I are both very seriously considering switching to Verizon next month.

I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia, I think is what it is called through ATT. It is my first smart phone. It took me a little bit to get used to it but now I really like it. On our old phones we had the unlimited data plan, but I guess on smart phones they don't offer that. We have never gone over our data limit. We have wifi at home so we just do all of our downloading there.
