I figured since I'd posted earlier in the week about Kolbie being sick I should update.
The girls both had their well-child checks this week. I wanted to save myself a trip so I scheduled them for the same day. It actually worked pretty well since I always have to take them both anyway! I joked about bringing a sick baby to a well baby check Within the first few minutes their Dr. (who is also my GP) asked how I was feeling and wanted to check me too, she ended up giving me a z-pack for an ear infection and sinus infection. Super! Anyway... Kolbie is doing great!! She is 28" and 20 lb., so 90% for height and 50% for weight, which is pretty standard for her. The Dr. was impressed with her development and surprised that she'd taken a few steps walking. I had forgotten that she was on maternity leave when Kaija was literally running around the room at her 9 month check up! She did have quite a bit of fluid in her ears and her poor face is all chapped. So she also got some antibiotics since she's been sick going on 2 weeks. We just started them yesterday night due to it not being sent to the pharmacy Thursday so we'll see in a few more days if they're working. Overall the visit went well. Kaija LOVES going to the Dr. and she is doing great as well. The Dr. didn't even have to ask developmental questions because Kaija is so outgoing
I think Kolbie is feeling better already I know I am! I yawned tonight and my ears FINALLY cleared!!
Kristin, I wish it was only 1 copay... It was still only 2, but the nice thing is our office automatically bills well-child copays. While it only delays the inevitable, at least I didn't have to figure out where to pull $40 out of the other day!
