I swear Camden is sooooo picky about solids!! Sometimes it makes me nervous that it's a sign he'll continue to be picky as he gets older. Right now all he's willing to eat is yobaby yogurt and fruits. Sometimes he'll eat egg yolk and avocados but not often. I've tried to give him new things but there is ZERO chance of him eating anything unless it is very pureed. I'll keep trying but he usually only eats one bite of new things. If i give him a piece of something solid he touches it and looks at in in disgust and usually won't put in anywhere near his mouth. This includes snacks like mum mums... we tried those the other day and he wanted nothing to do with it. Is this abnormal?

Some babies just don't like certain textures and tastes. Just keep offering it and hopefully eventually he'll start eating more. Neither of my girls are picky, but I've known a few picky babies who started eating everything as they got older.

I read somewhere that it can take up to 10 attempts for babies to like something new...I can't remember where. Logan prefers sweet things (i.e., fruit, sweet potatoes) to anything else, which I read is normal, since breast milk is sweet (again, can't remember where). But if I offer other things enough, he often warms up to it, and if not, I back off for a week and then try again. He goes through phases where he likes things like avocado, and then he couldn't care less.
