Totally unrelated to anything to do with being a mommy but I just need to vent and if I put it on Facebook I will get too many smart-aleck comments. GRRR!!! Went for a 12 mile run (with Jamie in the jogging stroller) in the cold this morning. Driving home I was really tempted to grab a bagel at Einsteins - super hungry. Tried to talk myself out of it as I really, really need to be careful with money these days. But then I reasoned that there wasn't much food in the house and by the time I would get home Jamie would need to be fed, put down for a nap, etc. - i.e. no breakfast for me until 12:15 or later. Of course then I had to go and choose the $7 bagel with lox, tomato, capers, etc. instead of the cheap one but I reasoned its lunch...

Ate half the bagel right away (yum yum yum) while Jamie was fixated with my running watch. Should have eaten the other half while he was occupied but then he had a dirty smelly diaper and I felt bad being so focused on me. Took him upstairs, discovered an explosion, had to change his whole outfit, etc. Came downstairs and the $@*!! dogs had eaten my food!!! Usually I'm really careful (they even steal hot tea and coffee out of mugs) but this time I didn't think, and the bagel was closed up in a box. THEN one of them proceeded to pee and poop on the carpet despite the fact they had been out 10 minutes before. AAAAARRRGHHH!!!!! I love my furbabies but I am so tired of having the worst trained dogs in the whole world!!!!!!! Now I'm hungry and mad!

I'm sorry!!!! My dogs are the same way! We have to lock them up in the bathroom while Kinley is eating or they will get on the table & eat her food! And we have two little poodles! lol

I've sooo been there! A week after my BFP we 'adopted' 2 super old bassett hounds. I splurged on a Godiva Dark Chocolate bar and was loving every moment of it when I had to go to the bathroom. So I left it on th back of the couch thinking - Hey, they're Bassett hounds and 4" off the floor, there's no way they'll get my chocolate bar! WRONG! He didn't eat much, thankfully because it could have made him really sick. But both dogs then proceeded to pee and poop nightly in my house for no reason what so ever. They'd be out all day and pee in the kitchen within 5 min. of being inside.

That really bites! I have cats - but they used to get into bags of beef jerky if we left them out overnight. One of the cats had to go to the humane society after we had Jed. She didn't adjust well to a baby in the house.

Awesome on the run! That sucks about your furbabies--my cat is a hot mess too--chews on our brand new end tables and eats Aly's pacifiers...sigh..

Man, I wish I could run like that--your body must be smoking!!!

That suck!! My dogs would do that. One has decided that it's okay to jump onto our table to eat Lily's food when my back is turned. The other one is a moron and pees in her cage despite being outside most the day. They also are the most obnoxious dogs in the neighborhood, barking at every car that goes by. They're too loud when the girls nap to stay inside.
