I am BF (and I pump when I go to work during the day). But over the last week and half, I feel as if I pulled a chest muscle somehow (left side only). My left breast is soo tender/sore and just over the weekend the pain has spread to my left back shoulderblade and bottom of my ribcage. WHen I take a deep breath, my boob hurts. This feels like something is going on and not normal and I'm freaking out here.... I'm going to call the doctor in the morning tomorrow and see if I can go in and figure out what is going on.
Have any of you had soreness/pain like this and it was just a muscle or went away on it's own? Praying it is nothing major...
That's the thing though.. I've felt fine the past week and half... No flu/sickness feeling and I've had Mastitis with both kids the 2nd week of BF when my milk came in. This one just feels different on the left side. Tender, sore, burning sensation just started today... It's not as bad as it was a few days ago, but it's still there, and I'm hoping the doc can give me some answers tomorrow if she's able to get me in for an appt. I hate stressing out.. And of course reading things online and googling up ideas/phrases are not helping my anxiety either!!!
Went in and the doc said everyting looked/felt normal to her. Just seems like a bad muscle sprain that goes around my breasts. Told me to take alleve and rest as much as I can, and if its not better by Monday to call back. So hopefully it's just a muscle thing and I'll be feeling better soon. Whew!
