I just joined our fitness center at work 2 wks ago. I try to get over there at least 3 times a week. I don't really have a weight loss goal in mind. I want to try and firm up my legs and butt. So far I've done stairclimber, ellipical, treadmill, and one of those skiing-type machines (can't think of what it's called). I also have done a few weight machines. Not sure how I'm going to measure this except with how my clothes fit. Any ideas. Maybe I'll track weight also, but I don't want to be tied to a scale.

I try to avoid the scale too. Even if you don't have a specific goal in mind, it so great to just be getting the extra exercise. I find it generally improves other aspects of my life as well.

I hadn't thought of it that way. I do feel good to work out even if it is a mile jog.

Exercising makes me feel on top of the world. It clears my head like nothing else can. I wonder why I don't do it more often. lol

I think it's great that you don't want to be tied to a scale. Going by how your clothes fit and the way you look in the mirror is definitely a great way to go. My jeans do a better job at letting me know when I've gained or lost.

Totally. Clears my head, puts me in a better mood, makes me sleep better, gives me energy to get more done, makes me want to eat better, even makes me feel a little, er, friskier with dh
So why is it so hard to get my butt onto the treadmill sometimes????

WTG! I am the same way exercise makes me feel great yet I lack the drive to do it for some reason LOL but if I force myself I feel so much better! I rarely weigh myself either and agree my jeans are a way better indictor than the scale is!
