almost 13 months old & our first bottle of amoxicillan has found our fridge! Beau was so awful for 2 days I thought I was going crazy. I started to suspect something was really wrong, but his only symptoms were a cold that wasnt leaving & extra, extra whiny/fussy. His cold wasn't getting worse or better. He was eating okay and sleeping great (perhaps that should have been my tip lol) But then after his nap today he was EXTREMELY fussy, I was starting to lose it in my head wondering if this was a new horrible toddler personality, and then I noticed dried blood coming out of his inner ear. Totally freaked out. Had him at the Dr in less than 2 hours.
I felt awful for not picking up sooner he had this. I definitely texted my BFF yesterday and said, "Maybe he has an ear infection, I don't know why he is just being so fussy". <---totally knew in my gut. I even googled yesterday "Can baby have ear infection without fever" and read something saying only 1 in 3 kids get a fever. But I didn't want to look crazy and drag him to Dr with no symptoms but a runny nose and crying (I took him once for a cold & felt like a moron). Anyway...bloody ear = infection. Now I know. And hopefully he will be a little happier tomorrow
