where are you getting this number from? I am just curious. It's seems to be the magic number that women go to when dieting. It's not just the ladies on this forum either. Is the number from a diet book/plan or what? Just trying to learn.
I did a calculator thingy online (myfitnesspal.com) to see how many calories I should consume for my weight and height in order to lose weight. I am tracking my calorie intake on there to - that way I don't end up like last time with not getting enough every day. Today I had almost 1300 - not bad

I have no idea where I got the number. I think I'm a follower and using it because other people were using it. I was reading the slim fast diet and it said 1200 calories on the protein shakes. But, I calculated mine and it said I should have 1900..
Thanks for the replies! Nutrition/exercise (ok not so much exercise these days lol) is just something that really interests me so I like to see what everyone else is doing, why and if it's working. I wonder what MFP says for me. Off to find out!
