My oldest is sick now. He woke up at midnight throwing up. He has one of those beds with the the drawers and trundle underneath. He managed to throw up in the top of the bed, on the mattress that's in the trundle and all in the drawers.

I wiped it all down and I'm washing the clothes and bed linens but the mattress in the trundle didn't have a cover on it. How do I clean and sterilize it? It's one of those foam mattresses- There are no seems on it it's just foam with a cover sewed on top.

Any ideas?

How's the weather? Could you spray it with something and hose it off and let it air dry? When my nephew peed my couch that's what I did with the cushions but I had to do it in the bathtub.

I would take it outside and wash it with hot water and soup and let the sun dry it out. Then maybe Lysol it just for extra measure.

My son has a bad just like that, he's thrown up a bunch on it.. I also clean it off, scrub it down with soapy water (dishwater works best) and the spray it down with lysol, and let it dry.. It usually dries within a day even without being in the sun, so your DS might have to sleep somewhere else for the day

I put it outside for now. It's cool and rainy today but I'm going to wash it tonight and leave it on the front porch-the porch is covered and then I'll Lysol it also. Thanks for the ideas ladies.
