I just now saw that there was a weight loss part on the Junebug section and thought I would ask you all for some help.

My hubby and I have recently (2 weeks ago) started eating right and exercising daily only taking Sundays off. I have lost 10 pounds so far but my body just doesn't want to lose any more. This is what we do:

M,W,F- We go running. We eat 2 full bars, one for breakfast and one for lunch, and a healthy dinner.
T,Th,Sat- Zumba and a work out video. We eat the same as M,W,F. Sometimes we go for a walk or walk the mall too.

What do you all do to shed the pounds after you hit a plateau?

Thanks!

Oops, forgot to add that we are going to be adding a gym membership either at the Y or at another local gym.

the best advice I have (and this would be my DHs advice as he is and ex personal trainer and where I get most of my fitness advice from) is to change up your routine when you hit a plateau. If you usually run then add in some weight training, or do stairs or something different. Your body gets used to your workouts so you have to mix it up for the best effect. Great job on the weight loss so far!!

I agree with Kim. Change it up. Weights are supposed to really help also. When I belonged to a gym I did the elliptical and it really gave me results, but you said you run already. I'm kind of stuck too. I'm going to add some weights and toning and hopefully get past it!
